Cecil County Republican Central Committee Appoints New Members And Recommits to Expanding Conservative Political Awareness in the County.

Thursday, May 27, 2021

Cecil County, MD, May 27th, 2021 – Following the expected resignations from three members who were no longer active, or had conflicts of interest, the Cecil County Republican Central Committee is proud to announce that they have appointed two new members to the organization.

Vincent Sammons, the Chariman of the committee stated: “We are extremely thrilled to have Mr. Claiborne Stubbs and Mr. Bob Gatchel as part of the Committee. Both of these new members will bring some fresh new perspectives and ideas, helping grow the conservative Republican party in Cecil County.”

Mr. Sammons went on to say: “Mr. Stubbs is a lifelong resident of Cecil County whose family has owned their farm outside of Elkton since the land was granted to them by Lord Baltimore in the colonial era. He is easily described as a Christian Conservative who believes in small government and greater individual liberty. As a career farmer, his value for hard work cannot be doubted.”

“Mr. Gatchel has been a Cecil County resident for 20 years, who also has family roots going back to the founding of the County. As a politically active & concerned citizen, he has been very interested in serving the community, and the timing was right for him. He is a staunch constitutional conservative, and as a successful businessperson, his unique perspective & abilities will be an asset to the committee.” Sammons continued.

Mr. Sammons also stated that there is one more position unfilled, and that the committee is actively pursuing filling that position as quickly as possible.
